Hearing Options for Pensioners & Veterans

Hearing Wellness is an accredited provider with the Australian Government Hearing Services Program and can provide eligible pensioners and veterans with free/subsidised government services and hearing devices.

Am I eligible?
​
To be eligible for the Australian Government Hearing Services Program you must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident and hold (or be) one of the following:

Centrelink Pensioner Concession Card
-
Centrelink Sickness Allowance
-
Department of Veterans’ Affairs Pensioner Concession Card
-
Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card – issued for all conditions
-
Department of Veterans’ Affairs White Card - issued for hearing loss
-
Dependent of a person with a concession above
-
Current Serving Member of the Australian Defence Force
-
Referred by the Disability Employment Services (Disability Management Services) Program
-
A National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participant with hearing needs, referred by a planner from the National Disability Insurance Agency

What Services can I expect?
​

a comprehensive hearing assessment performed by qualified and accredited Audiologists
-
if you require a hearing aid/s or assistive listening device you will have access to a wide range of fully or partially subsidised hearing aids or assistive listening devices (eg. device for the TV) from a variety of manufacturers. The choice will always be yours as to whether you would like a fully subsidised (free) device or a partially subsided (top-up) device where you can pay a contribution to access hearing aids with extra features and technology.

advice and training from your Audiologist on how to achieve your maximum hearing potential and get the most from your hearing devices.

additional support and hearing services to assist with meeting your hearing needs

access to an optional program where, for a small annual fee, you can receive repairs and batteries for your hearing device as required.

How do I check my eligibility and apply?
​
We want to make the application process as simple as possible so please contact us on 1800 934 327 to assist you with this or we can submit on your behalf and we can also arrange an appointment for you or a loved one at the same time.

If you are already under the Hearing Services Program and would like to transfer to our service please contact us and we can arrange this for you.
